Fotokite develops autonomous, high-endurance tethered unmanned aerial systems to help firefighters and public safety teams save lives.


Fotokite systems allow first responders to quickly and easily gain situational awareness after arriving at emergency scenes: our autonomous one-touch launch/land system makes operation simple and safe; the dual color and thermal camera payload provides situational awareness from the system’s aerial perspective; and actively tethered flight means the system can be flown without a certified pilot, and can be left flying for as long as the situation requires.


We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for expanding our sales activities by selling and introducing Fotokite products and services to both established and new Fire, EMS, Public Safety and other relevant customer groups. This position conducts field demos as well as fulfills requests for orders, quotations, and lead times. Primarily involves initiating, tracking, and following up on leads the organization generates via multiple channels. In addition, this position is responsible for driving demand in an assigned territory for all Fotokite products and services in relevant user groups.


Your work, in particular, will support customers with safe and reliable systems in high-impact first responder applications.


Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a regional sales plan that includes outbound prospecting, lead generation and field sales engagement to help meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Increases customer base by identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads or accounts to begin the sales process
  • Manages and retains relationships with existing clients 
  • Captures, maintains, and expands the data in the CRM (Salesforce) with opportunities, customers, and additional contacts
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of our products and value proposition
  • Provides effective product demos for end-user customers--in person and virtually
  • Attends industry conferences and regional trade shows to develop industry expertise and customer pipelines
  • Expected travel (up to 50% or more depending on region)


Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Development, Economics, Finance, or Marketing or equivalent applicable experience is required
  • Minimum of 1 year in a Sales / BD role
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM is required
  • Highly proficient computer skills including G Suite and Microsoft suite
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to negotiate with customers
  • Experience working in an international company is a plus
